Our LCF is a uniquely- processed, naturally occurring cellulose material that was first developed to increase tensile strength and decrease density in the construction trade materials. Photomicrographs of these applications have shown a strong affinity and bonding-strength to silica. LCF’s patented processing, unique bonding chemistry, and optimum fiber shape make it a superior performing product for application in the drilling fluids industry, especially as a lost circulation material and seepage loss additive. It performs well in fresh water muds as well as saturated salt muds. It especially performs well in synthetic fluids that are widely used offshore. The material is available in various sizes and blends.
